Being in prison fractures a family unit, and causes problems at home for the children and care-givers, who are innocent victims of the inmate's crimes. These children love to
hear from their incarcerated parent, and they love getting some presents, but they also love seeing
2010 Angel Tree Planning
- It took three weekends in 2008, but we slimmed down to two weekends in 2009,
and we plan the same for 2010 (delivery on Dec. 4th and 11th). We
won't get names until Oct. 2010 - so we don't know how many volunteers we'll
need - but we can use
Child sponsor days in the lobby at church were the last three weekends in November. We always need help organizing deliveries, calling caregivers, and sorting/bagging the gifts. If you can provide some of this advance help, please contact Sam Connor, our Angel Tree Coordinator, at Angel Tree or call 770.301.1937. Crossroads Angel Tree Planning Meetings - It takes a few volunteers (and team leaders) to make an Angel Tree program of this size work smoothly (it hasn't yet!) Here's our 2010 preliminary Angel Tree schedule.

2009 Update - Our last presents were delivered by Jan. 15, 2010 (late getting the stragglers this year). Except for paperwork completion - we had another successful Angel Tree year. Thanks to the planners, callers, sorter/baggers, gift purchasers and delivery teams for your willingness to serve and help some families in need!
