Angel Tree

-
Angel Tree Christmas is a great
servant
evangelism program - which provides 2 Christmas gifts to children of
incarcerated parents. Over 10 years ago Crossroads Church began
supporting Angel Tree by helping Coweta County families. The Crossroads
Bikers assumed leadership for this ministry 3 years ago, and it has grown (with the help of 15 other biker ministries and
churches) to cover 11 counties, and over 400 families a year - the largest Angel Tree
program in the Southeast.
-
Being in prison fractures a family unit, and
causes problems at home for the children and care-givers, who are innocent
victims of the inmate's crimes.

These children love to
hear from their incarcerated parent, and they love
getting some presents, but they also love
seeing
and hearing motorcycles! In 2007, Crossroads Church and
the Crossroads Bikers partnered with CMA Blessed Riders, Community Christian Riders,
CMA Freedom Riders, Mt. Holly
Victory Riders, New Vision
Biker Ministry, CMA Grace Riders, the Son Chasers, and the Southside Saints to deliver over 1,100 gifts to over
550 kids - in Jesus' name!
2008 Angel Tree Planning
- It took 3 weekends in 2007, but for 2008
we're
planning to
deliver gifts on two
weekends (Dec. 13 & Dec. 20). We don't know how many kids, but we're
planning to get names of over 800 kids. We also need
advance help
organizing delivery, printing maps, and combining gifts into bags for each
family (Dec. 9-12th and 17-19th).
If you can provide some of this advance help, please contact Sam
Connor, our Angel Tree Coordinator, at
Angel Tree or (770)
252-9065.
